haha yes sparkle, u're right. i've not been updating for 2 months! well, guess now my life's settled down a little from all the experiences i've encounted during these few months... and so, i'm back!
HONG KONG & MACAU (27NOV-3DEC)i seriously enjoyed this trip! for one entire week, i spent my 1st ever trip to HK and Macau with my family and my godparents (: it wasn't like a any other overseas vacation cuz it's TOTALLY free and easy... to the point we rent our own apartment for accomodation, check into hotels ourselves and of cuz travel 'round the 2 countries PERMANENT RESIDENTIAL STYLE! i'm referring to public transportation of course! trains, buses, trams, turbojet... ya name it! 'cept for the helicopter ride we almost took in Macau. Another time then. a personal satisfaction to me was all the pictures i've took during the trip! ya know... (phyllis should be familiar with this)... THE GETTYIMAGES WAY! i'll most likely post some in this entry (: another personal satisfaction was that i was the official navigator for the whole trip with my handy dandy maps, tourist attraction brochures and of cuz my natural instincts. since navigating for Junko in OBS, i didn't realise my skills had increased! to actually know all the bus routes and the 6 train lines and the trams i'm pretty proud of myself!

DESTINATION: HONG KONG (VIA CATHAY PACIFIC)

HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

and so i took the Airport Express to Tsing Yi!
Tsing Yi (Green Shirt in Mandrin, and so happens my fave colour is green..) is in the middle of the HK International Airport and HK Island! plus it's only a train stop away from HK Disneyland! we rented an apartment in Greenfield Gardens (frankly, i can't rmb the name) it's some condo. obviously with the help of my godparents' contacts in HK. i didn't know tt for a period of time my godpa worked in HK and my godma would shop until he ended work everyday... what a life!

as u can see, the train's real fast

finally, i arrived at Tsing Yi stationit resembles a little bit like Singapore's MRT station but much cleaner and i must say their designs are more high-tech and neater! well, i realised that the train system in HK is actually called MTR (Mass Transit Railway).

i know this pic is really a sweat-dropper but it's truly the first toilet i've seen in this place. guess what! there are toilet rolls on both sides! cheap thrill.

my family
i'll share some pics of a typical day in Tsing Yi
(The Gettyimages Way!)

then we travelled to HONG KONG ISLAND...

THE IFC (International Financial Centre)

the city tram

STREETS OF HONG KONGlook at the amount of people! overpopulation i say! if u don't walk fast enuff, u're bound to be the manace of the city... and tt's how i got the HK foot (hurts like hell)
we decided to take a short trip to Macau and stay there for 2 days...

DESTINATION: MACAU (VIA TURBOJET)

see the white boat over to the left? yeah tt's the turbojet. very fast!

GRANDVIEW HOTEL, TAIPA, MACAU

Portugese-themed streets in Taipa

i spy with my little eye... A HOCKEY PITCH!!! i can't believe it! oooh and there's some hockey guys too..
Macau's known for its historical heritage, namely the Portugese architecture and of course the old churches which is one of the reasons i'm thrilled to capture the sights it had to offer!

*PIC OF THE TRIP*

Senado Square

check out the spoiler... Macs

The Cathedrali went into The Cathedral which is actually a church to commemorate Mother Mary, and the first statue i saw was the statue of St. Jude (frankly i never heard of him)... i read the description. it claims that he is the Patron Saint for the Hopeless Case... well, i decided to pray for my A's (haha!) how befitting! lemme tell u this, the statues, the interior and the stained glass windows are so rich and full of majesty! if u ever visit Macau, u should check this place out. and dun forget to give love offerings.

my godparents, bro and me
Ruins of St. Paul

a restaurant in Casino LisboaMacau's full of great food! from the Portugese egg tarts to the local sweets to my new love... PIGEONS! i mean, seriously, it's the best poultry i've ever tasted all my life! what have i been missin'?! it combines 2 delicacies in 1.. tender meat (like the roasted chicken/turkey) and crispy skin on the outside (like the suckling pig)!
okay back to HONG KONG... more glimpse of the city, the horizon of skyscrapers, more people pushing me as i attempt to walk as fast as my legs could muster while reading the darn map, a visit to THE PEAK and what's the trip without a whole day-out at DISNEYLAND (:

something u'd see out of a HK drama

the house at the highest part of HK

The Peak
HONG KONG DISNEYLAND
(it's pretty small really)

the train's cute

Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Fantasyland

hi, mum!

i love you, pooh!

i like fluffy things, especially this one.

when i saw this one, i went, "MUSHUUU!!!"

TOMMORROWLAND
damn fun! the first ride we sat there was the roller coaster ride... i thought it was some motion master thing... but i was wrong. it's very blast to the future kind the ride by far the most awesome in the whole place cuz the effects are very realistic.

ADVENTURELAND (dad and bro)

my bro: the boy whom i tricked into eating tissue paper... looking as gullible as always (:

tarzan's treehouse

i watched 2 awesome shows there. 1 was like 3D Fantasia (i forgot the name) really cool it's a medley of all the Disney Cartoon Movies in 3D.. u'll see like stuff flying at your faces! love it! but the better one was Golden Mickeys (a broadway show with a lot of Disney characters featured like an award show) the actors were so awesome. i love their voices and the stunts! totally acrobatic!
and what's disneyland without watching the PARADE
